Phoning School

The Head Teacher, Assistant Heads and the School Nurses are available by phone most of the time, provided that they are in the building they will be pleased to talk with you.  Other professionals, such as Physiotherapists are available in school at certain times too. Your child’s teacher is available to talk with you before 9.00am and after 3.30pm.  At any other time of the day they will be teaching so we ask that you leave a message with a member of the School Office staff unless it is absolutely essential that you talk with them.

In the event of an emergency at school we will make every effort to contact parents or carers, so please make sure that we have up to date contact numbers for you.   If that is not possible then school will act in the best interests of the pupil.

Complaints Procedure

Hexham Priory School has open relationships with the families and carers of its pupils.  We hope that any problems and concerns will be dealt with long before they reach the stage of a formal complaint as it is in everyone’s interest that complaints are resolved at the earliest possible stage.  Any concerns should first be raised with the class teacher, then if necessary with the Head Teacher.  Usually complaints are resolved at this stage.  If this is not the case then there is a written Complaints Procedure in place.
