This is a scheme that provides financial support to the most vulnerable young people to enable them to participate in and benefit from post-16 education and training. Please see notes for more information.
Along with all schools in England that have Primary age pupils, we received an allocation of funding in 2013/2014 to support our pupils in developing active and healthy lifestyles from the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. Please see attached notes.
See our attached notes with information on Pupil Premium at our school.
Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is additional funding for early years settings to improve the provision that disadvantaged three and four year olds receive. This extra money is to help close the gap between disadvantaged children and their peers by supporting you to offer high quality education and care.
The majority of our Early Years pupils have significant delay in both fine and gross motor skills. We use our EYPP to support a weekly Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) session. This early intervention allows pupils to develop their motor skills at the beginning of their school career.
In school Year 2016/2017 Hexham Priory School received an allocation of £1,000 Year Seven literacy and numeracy catch-up premium. This funding was used to fund additional Teaching Assistant support to pupils.
